So Xander's RAST test results came back. He's allergic to milk protein and egg. I'm not suprised but I am. I was allergic to milk as a baby and Ron was allergic to eggs. We both outgrew them and Xander will too.
On a scale of one to six, his milk rating was a three and his egg rating was four. The docs are suprised by this as well as confused. He had no indication of any allergies during his skin allergy test. Since his ratings are very high, he should have had a reaction during the skin test. Also they are suprised he isn't having severe reactions other than diarrhea here and there, like hives (which he had twice), excema, or even anaphylaxis. We feed him eggs and milk daily and lots of them. Pancakes, yogurt, cheese...you name it.
The plan is to take all dairy and eggs out of his diet for a month. After the month is up and if his diarrhea is better, they will slowly let us introduce them back into his diet to figure out what is causing the diarrhea.
Do you have any idea how many foods contain dairy and eggs? Things you wouldn't suspect have dairy in fact do have dairy in them...like frozen veggies, lollipops, beef (cow product), etc... It's going to be a long month. *sigh*

Yup, you should email Charlotte about stuff to buy. She has a non dairy and egg diet :-)
