No results yet but the PICC line IS going in. They have to treat him as if he has an infection.
Two pieces of good news. I was wrong about the catheter! Thank goodness. And they are going to pull the drain out. Yipee! It's hard to hold him with that thing. They are also going to give him a shot of lasix to help with some of the fluid. He's not as bad as he was but if he has pneumonia it will help flush some of that fluid that has settled.
