URGENT CALL FOR ACTION

Emerson White's family recently found out that her state is stopping her Medicaid. This is NOT RIGHT. Her family lives in Colorado, works in Colorado and pays taxes in Colorado. Colorado is saying that since she is not being treated in Colorado, they are not going pay her medical bills. She is currently being treated at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. It is the closest facility to them that specializes in multi-organ transplants. Colorado doesn't have them! How can she be treated in Colorado?

Emerson needs to be listed. Without Medicaid she won't be. She's already met her lifetime maximum on her parent's insurance so Medicaid is her only option. The hospital will not list her unless she has financial approval.

Her parents are going through so much. This is one thing they should not have to stress about.

They need our help. PLEASE! Take a few minutes and tell Colorado this is WRONG. Send a letter or an e-mail or make a simple call. If you know anyone in the media, pass along Emerson's story. Together we can we can make this right.

I have added more contacts here than is on Emerson's page. I think the more people we contact the better.
