Let's get the bad news out of the way first. We got a note from Xander's GI that his ammonia levels came back elevated. Crud! Hopefully it is a false positive. They used a tourniquet and that can skew the test. He's going to have another blood test on Friday, so we'll find out then.
Now for the good news. Xander has gained almost a pound! He's weighing in at 18lbs 3.5oz. YES. I am so excited for him. A few months ago I couldn't have imagined he could get to this point but now I see he can do it! (The docs would like him to be a year old and 20lbs before they transplant.) I need to have more faith in him. He keeps amazing me like no other.

Xander has it, c diff that is. I knew there was something not right about him. He smelled like a sewer and he's been cranky. He's not a cranky kid. I felt like people thought I was overreacting but I'm glad I didn't care what they thought and forced the issue.
c diff happens when you take antibiotics for an extended period of time. You know what helps it? More antibiotics?? Confusing, for sure. I can't wait until we can get off antibiotics all together. Poor little guy.

Unfortunately the liver isn't right for little Gavin. Keep praying that the perfect one comes soon!

Xander's liver friend Gavin got 'THE CALL' early this morning. He's on his way to UCLA in the hopes of getting a healthy, new liver. I'm keeping my fingers cross that this is the perfect one, the perfect gift for Gavin.

Let it Rain
I love rainstorms. I typically like fierce one's but yesterday a nice, soothing, gentle rain fell. I love the way everything becomes so fresh and clean afterwards. As soon as it let up I grabbed my camera...of course...and went outside.
